Sem-tetos são despejados após 16 horas de resistência

No último domingo, dia 7 de novembro, integrantes da Frente de Luta por Moradia ocuparam um prédio abandonado há mais de 10 anos da Caixa Econômica Federal na praça Roosevelt, no centro de São Paulo. No local havia cerca de 400 sem-teto, porém somente cerca 120 conseguiram entrar no prédio. A polícia foi acionada rapidamente e reprimiu os manifestantes do lado de fora com violência.

Na manhã de hoje, segunda-feira, a polícia isolou o prédio e impediu que jogassem alimentos para dentro da ocupação. O representante da Caixa Econômica esteve no local, mas não quis negociar com os movimentos sociais.

Após 16 horas de grande tensão, sem comida nem água, os militantes decidiram em assembléia não resistir e desocuparam o prédio para evitar novos confrontos com a polícia. A ocupação deu sequência a campanha por moradia aos sem-teto, que realizou sete ocupações na semana passada.

In the last sunday, day 7 of November, integrant of the Front of Fight
for Housing, occupied an abandoned building more than has 10 years
empty, of the Federal government saving bank in the square Roosevelt,
in the center of São Paulo.
In the place without-ceiling had about 400 homeless, however it only
surrounds 120 had obtained to enter in the building. The policy was
set in motion quickly and restrained the manifestants of the side of
with violence.
In the morning of today, monday, the policy isolated the building and
hindered that foods for inside played of the occupation. The
representative of the Public saving bank was in the place, but she did
not want to negotiate with the social movements. After 16 hours of
great tension, without food nor water, the militant ones had decided
in assembly not to resist and had vacuated the building to prevent new
confrontations with the policy. The occupation gave to sequência the
campaign for housing to the without-ceiling, that carried through
seven occupations last week.
The vídeo shows how the police act with the people outside, lots of
violence and autority abuse. The gentrification in São Paulo downtonw,
is just in the begining, but we already can fell that the governement
you not poupar esforços to send the poor people to the periferias.

Este vídeo foi feito de forma voluntária e colaborativa por diversos
grupos. Ele foi feito para o programa "direitos de resposta", um
programa que é resultado de uma ação contra o programa "Tardes
quentes" do apresentador João Kleber.
O vídeo apresenta em três partes distintas os diferentes problemas de
moradia no centro de São Paulo que esta avançando no seu projeto de
gentrificação e higienização, são apresentados os cortiços, pessoas em
situação de rua e albergues públicos e ocupações no centro de São
Paulo.

Video of the eviction of the Building of the r. Plinio Ramos, 112 -
region of Luz - São Paulo. More than 70 families liveed there since
2001, the building were abandon since 1991, and she has debts of IPTU
that exceed R$ 55,000, 00.
The video beyond the images of the eviction has depositions and
commentaries legal on the right to the housing in Brazil.
The door of the building was sealed up, the policy took hours to
enter, it did not save rubber bullets, nor lacrymatory gas bombs, to
keep away the people outside the build, not even the jornalists was
allowed get close to the building, the street was surrounded with
trucks so that not they were registered the action of the policy,
diverse policeman were not using its obrigatory identifications.

Com integrantes de 4 desocupações o Acampamento dos Sem Tetos de São Paulo em frente a CDHU completou hoje (08/06/2006) 6 dias,
São crianças, idosos e trabalhadores, que não tem para onde ir, e cansados de tanto ser ignorados pelo estado estão acampados sem água nem banheiro, afim de chamar atenção para a situação da moradia em São Paulo,
As pessoas que por ali passam parecem não se importar em saber o que acontece, querendo se manter o mais distante possível da situação afim de se livrar de ter que fazer qualquer reflexão sobre o assunto.
